I. Athanasios (y. 1230 – 28 Ekim 1310) 1289'dan 1293'e ve 1303'ten 1309'a kadar iki dönem Konstantinopolis Patriği olarak görev yapmıştır. Edirne'de doğmuş, Konstantinopolis'te ölmüştür. İmparator II. Andronikos (h. 1282-1328) tarafından patrik olarak seçildi, Konstantinopolis ve Roma Kiliselerinin yeniden birleşmesine karşı çıktı ve din adamları arasında muhalefeti uyandıran bir dini reform başlattı. 1293'te istifa etti ve 1303'te halkın desteğiyle yeniden göreve geldi. Birlik yanlısı dini hizip, onu 1310'un başlarında emekli olmaya zorladı.
Her yıl 28 Ekim'de kutlanan yortu günüyle Rum Ortodoks Kilisesi'nde bir aziz olarak anılır.[1]
