Strombus gigas, Strombus cinsine bağlı bir türdür. Karayip Denizi'ne özgü en büyük yumuşakçalardan biridir ve Bermuda'dan Brezilya'ya kadar tropikal kuzeybatı Atlantik'te yaşamaktadır.
