The Golden Legend (Latince: Legenda aurea veya Legenda sanctum )Kutsal Jacobus de Voragine tarifından yazılan bir hagiographies(bizdeki vahiy kitabı gibi) bu kitap Ortaçağ Avrupasında çok blinen bir efsaneydi. metnin Binden fazla el yazması bulundu .^[1] Bu metinlerin Olası derlenme yılı yaklaşık 1260'ler, ancak metinin üstünde yüzlerce yıl farklı milletlerce eklemeler yapıldığı bilinmektedir ^[2]
