James Stuart Blackton (5 Ocak 1875-13 Ağustos 1941), sessiz dönemin İngiliz-Amerikalı film yapımcısı ve yönetmeniydi. Sinema filminin öncülerinden biri olarak 1897'de Vitagraph Studios'u kurdu. Stop motion ve çizilmiş animasyon tekniklerini kullanan ilk film yapımcılarından biri, Amerikan animasyonunun babası olarak kabul edilmekte ve birçok klasik filme imza atan ilk kişi oldu. Oyunlar ve kitaplar ekrana geliyor. Blackton aynı zamanda Amerika Motorlu Tekne Kulübü ve Atlantik Yat Kulübü'nün de amiraliydi.[1][2]
