Ayrıca Arthrobacter chlorophenolicus olarak bilinen Pseudarthrobacter chlorophenolicus,yüksek dozlarda 4-klorofenol indirgeyebilme yeteneğine sahip olmasıyla bilinir. Bu yeteneği bu bakteri türünün biyoremediasyonda faydalı olabileceğine işaret etmektedir.
2016 yılından önce, bu bakteri türünün bir Arthrobacter cinsi türü olduğu düşünülüyordu. Fakat 2016 yılında Bu bakteri türü Pseudarthrobacter cinsinin bir üyesi olarak yeniden sınıflandırılmıştır.[2]
