CAPE JASON
- Jason was named after the man who landed with Argonauts. Underside of the cape, there is a church which is named Panaya. Panaya which is located within he boundaries if Çaytepe ( village in Perşembe) is known as Jason's Church
- Church was contructed in 1868 by Greeks and Georgians who lived in there.
- Cape Jason is an ancient settlement.İn a.c. 3. century, Christians came here to celebrate Holyday after they celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ
- This peninsula is famous for Argonautica Myth which told searching stories about Golden Fleece under the leadeership of Argonauts.These myth's heroics have been accepted as Trojar.
- As time passed by,Church tended to fall down,previous governor of Ordu ,Kemal Yazıcıoğlu started restoration. Church was repaired in accordance with the original condition. Only it's dome is like Otooman style.
- Greek Church on Cape Jason is the only church by the seaside.
