Damisos

Damisos veya Damysos ( Yunanca : Δάμυσος ), Yunan mitolojisindeki tüm Gigantların en hızlısıydı.

Fotios'un, Chennos'a atfettiği Yeni Tarih'in altıncı kitabında bir hikâye anlatılır. Aşil'in annesi Thetis'in, Peleus'tan olan çocuklarını gizli bir yerde yaktığından bahsedilir. Ancak Aşil'in doğumundan sonra işler değişir, Thetis tam Aşil'i alevlere bırakırken Peleus durumu fark edip Aşil'i kurtarır. Aşil'in sadece ayağı yanmıştır. Ardından Peleus onu sentor Kheiron'a emanet eder. Daha sonra Kheiron, Kesendire'de gömülü olan Damisos'un cesedini mezarından çıkardı, ayak bileğini cesetten ayırdı ve Aşil'in yanmış ayağına monte etti. Aşil , Truva Savaşı sırasında Apollo tarafından takip edilirken bu takılan ayak bileği düştü ve Aşil bu şekilde öldürüldü.^[1]
