David Thompson (30 Nisan 1770 - 10 Şubat 1857) İngiliz-Kanadalı kürk tüccarı, kadastrocu ve harita yapımcısı. Bazı yerli halklar tarafından "Koo-Koo-Sint" ya da "Stargazer" olarak bilinmektedir. Kariyeri boyunca Kuzey Amerika kıtasının 3,9 milyon kilometrekarelik alanını haritalanmış ve bu nedenle de "yaşamış en büyük kara coğrafyacısı" olarak tarif edilmiştir.^[1]
