John Barth

John Simmons Barth (27 Mayıs 1930) Amerikalı romancı ve kısa hikâye yazarı. Postmodernist yapıtlarıyla bilinir.
John Barth Cambridge, Maryland'de doğdu. Johns Hopkins üniversitesini 1951'de bitirdi. Penn Eyalet Üniversitesi'nde 1953-65, Buffalo Üniversitesi'nde 1965-73, Boston Üniversitesi'nde 1972-73 ve Johns Hopkins Üniversitesi'nde 1973-95 yıllarında profesörlük yaptı. 1995'de emekliye ayrıldı.
