Noel'in On İki Günü

Noel'in On İki Günü, aynı zamanda Noel Döneminin On İki Günü olarak da bilinir, İsa'nın Doğuşu'nu kutlayan şenlikli Hristiyan dönemidir.

Noel Günü Birinci Gün'dür. On İki Gün, ilk ve son sayılarak 25 Aralık'tan 5 Ocak'a kadardır. Oktav veya Sekizinci Gün, Yeni Yıl Günü ve Sünnet Bayramı'dır, İsa'nın Yahudi inancına göre sünnet edildiği gündür. Noel Döneminin On İki Gününün son gününün akşamı On İkinci Gece veya Epifani Arifesi'dir,^[1]^[2] ve ertesi sabah belirli geleneklerde Epifani Dönemini başlatan Epifani'dir.^[3]

Anglikan Cemaati veya Lutheran Kilisesi gibi Hristiyan mezhepleri için, Noel'in On İki Günü (25 Aralık'tan 5 Ocak'a kadar) aynıdır.^[4]^[5]^[6] Ancak Roma Katolik Kilisesi için Noel Dönemi daha uzun sürer ve Rab'bin Vaftiz Bayramı'na kadar devam eder.^[7]^[8] Bazıları için, On iki Gün 26 Aralık'tan 6 Ocak'a kadar kabul edilir^[9] ve böylece Epifani'yi de içerir.
