Leigh Douglass Brackett (d. 7 Aralık 1915 - ö. 18 Mart 1978) genellikle bilimkurgu türünde yazdığı eserleriyle tanınan Amerikan yazardır. Ayrıca senaristlik de yapan Brackett'ın en bilinen işleri The Big Sleep (1945), Rio Bravo (1959), The Long Goodbye (1973) ve Yıldız Savaşları: Bölüm V - İmparator (1980) adlı filmlerdir. Brackett'ın ilk bilimkurgu hikâyesi 1940 yılının Şubat ayında Astounding Science Fiction dergisinin bir sayısında yayımlandı. İlk romanı No Good from a Corpse ise 1944 yılında yayımlandı.
