Hristiyan evrenselciliği, evrensel uzlaşma doktrini etrafında odaklanan bir Hristiyan ilahiyatı okuludur; bu doktrin, tüm insanların nihayetinde kurtulacağı ve Tanrı ile doğru bir ilişkiye geri döneceği görüşünü savunur. "Hristiyan evrenselciliği" ve "Mesih aracılığıyla evrensel uzlaşmaya inanç veya umut" eş anlamlı olarak anlaşılabilir.[1]

Hristiyan evrenselciliği terimi, 14 Eylül 1785'te ilk Evrenselci Kiliselerden birini kuran Adams Streeter'ın soyundan gelen Russell Streeter tarafından 1820'lerde Christian Intelligencer 'da kullanıldı.[2][3][4] Bazı Hristiyan evrenselcileri, Erken Hristiyanlıkta (6. yüzyıldan önce) bunun Hristiyanlığın en yaygın yorumu olduğunu iddia ediyor.[5]
Resmî bir Hristiyan mezhebi olarak Hristiyan evrenselciliği, 18. yüzyılın sonlarında Amerika Evrenselci Kilisesi ile ortaya çıkmıştır. Hristiyan evrenselcileri birleştiren tek bir mezhep yoktur, ancak birkaç mezhep Hristiyan evrenselciliğinin bazı ilkelerini öğretir veya bunlara açıktır. Bunun yerine, üyelikleri 1961 yılında Amerikan Üniteryen Derneği ile birleşerek Üniteryen Evrenselci Derneği'ne dönüşmüştür.
