Deutsch: Die Stadt Hamminkeln führt ein Wappen, ein Siegel und eine Flagge (Banner). Wappen und Siegel wurden mit Urkunde des Regierungspräsidenten in Düsseldorf vom 11.November 1977, das Banner mit Urkunde vom 06. August 1978, genehmigt. Nach der Zusammenlegung von Hamminkeln mit sechs anderen Gemeinden, wählte man als gemeinsames Symbol die klevische Lilienhaspel. Die kleinen Schildchen symbolisieren die ehemaligen Gemeinden und der Wellenbalken die Issel. Grün steht für die Landschaft.
English: The arms were granted on November 11, 1977. As the old arms could not be combined, new arms were devised. The center of the arms is the escarbuncle of Duchy of Cleves as the area belonged to the duchy of Cleves. The large circle represents the new municipality, the smaller ones, the old municipalities. The wavy fess in the lower part represents the river Issel, that runs through the municipality. The green landscape is represented through the green colour.
