Brükselleşme, kentsel planlamada yüksek katlı binaların eski mahallelere gelişigüzel eklenmesi ve keyfe keder bir soylulaştırmayı ifade eder.^[1]^[2]

Terim, Brüksel'in 1960'larda ve 1970'lerde kontrolsüzce gelişmesi ve laissez-faire politikalarıyla kent planlamasına yaklaşılması üzerine ortaya çıkmıştır.^[3]^[4]
