Katyn Katliamı

1940 yılında SSCB tarafından yapılmış etnik katliam.

Yaklaşık 15.000 Leh asker ve subay esir, Almanya'nın II. Dünya Savaşı'nda Sovyetler'e yenilmesi nedeniyle Alman tarafında oldukları için SSCB'nin toplama kampına gönderildiler. Burada ne olduğu hakkında bilgi edinilemediyse de, Almanlar Katyn ormanında 4.143 askerin toplu mezarıyla karşılaştılar. Bu mezar dışında daha sonra 11.000 leh askerin daha mezarı bulundu.

Uzun süre SSCB katliam suçunu kabul etmedi. Fakat dış baskılar nedeniyle 1990'da suçunu itiraf etti.
