Harold Elliot Varmus (18 Aralık 1939) Amerikan Nobel Ödülü sahibi bilim adamı. Amerikan Ulusal Kanser Enstitüsü'nün 14. ve güncel direktörüdür. Başkan Barack Obama tarafından atanmıştır.[1] 1989 yılı Nobel Fizyoloji veya Tıp Ödülü'nü J. Michael Bishop ile birlikte retroviral onkogenlerin hücresel orjinini keşiflerinden dolayı kazanmıştır.
